Daily Milk

Herds with a meter configured for daily milk readings can view an animal's daily milk in a table and a graph on the Daily Milk tab in the CowCard . You can click the Bar Graph or Line Graph buttons to change the graph style.

This graph allows you to compare a recorded milk weight against other milkings from the same day and the weights from other days. Hover over a bar on the graph to view additional data.

Each shift is color-coded. If the animal is identified while entering the parlor, but its actual milk weight for a shift is not captured by the parlor equipment, the shift average is added as an estimated milk weight. On the bar graph, estimated milk weights are represented by diagonal stripes. If an animal fails to be identified in the parlor for a shift, no data is included for that shift.

Similar to the graph found on the Lactations page, each point on the milk line represents the average milk weight recorded over the course of a week. Check a box under References to a second line and y-axis to the line graph. Only two data sets are allowed on the graph at any time, and the milk line is always included as a basis of comparison.
