Build a To-Do List

To-Do Lists include animals that may need to be checked, moved, or treated. After the required task is completed, the animal is marked as DONE. Use these actionable lists to help manage your work on farm and keep track of completed activities electronically.

Begin by selecting Build Report/Worklist option from the DairyComp/MyDC menu, clicking the button at the top of the Dairy Reports/Worklists page, or clicking Customize from the Template Gallery page. Then use the two-step Report/Worklist Builder to create or edit your To-Do List.

  1. Enter a Name for your worklist.
  2. Select To-Do for the report Type.
  3. Enter a worklist Description.
  4. Select Tags that apply to your list. Setting tags for your list will allow you to use filters to find your list on the Dairy Reports/Worklists page.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Use the search field at the top of the items list to find items by name or description. For example, searching for "sire" finds all associated items in your dairyLSIRClosed Last service sire, MGSIR, PSIRCClosed Previous lactation sire of conception, SIR1Closed 1st choice mating sire, etc.
  7. To build your list, drag and drop items from the left column onto the Worklist Output field on the right. Reorder the columns by dragging and dropping the item names or click the x next to the item name to delete it.
  8. Use the Mobile List Output field to preview how your worklist will look in the mobile app.
  9. To set filters, drag and drop items from the items list into the Filters area, and then choose an Operator from the drop-down and set a Value for the operator.
  10. To customize how items are sorted on your report, drag and drop items from the items list into the Sorting area, and then choose the sort order:

    • A - Z: Ascending sort (low to high, earliest to latest)
    • Z - A: Descending sort (high to low, latest to earliest)

  11. In the Switches area, select to include alive, dead, or all animals in your report.
  12. Click Save and Execute to build your report and display the results of the report on the Reports/Worklists Results page. DC Unlimited subscribers can also preview the command as the report is being built.
