Does the mobile app use my cell phone data?

We find this question especially important for users who have a limited amount of data on their cell phone plan or who have prepaid cell phone plans, such as TracFone®.

VAS understands that you need access to your data regardless of whether you have an internet connection. The same consideration goes for users who have pre-paid for their cell phone minutes and do not want to use those minutes to refresh data on PULSE mobile app.

For this reason, VAS has designed the mobile app to work in either online or offline mode and thus does not need to use your cell phone data while you are out in the dairy.

If you own a prepaid device and want to ensure that the VAS PULSE Platform mobile app does not use your prepaid data, you can use the app settings within your device to restrict the app from using a data connection or to refresh data only when a Wi-Fi connection is available.

All actions required by PULSE mobile app can be performed over a Wi-Fi connection, from downloading and installing the app to refreshing dairy data on a regular basis. Data on the mobile app refreshes automatically when the device is within Wi-Fi range, so any devices that are in Wi-Fi range on the dairy—or anywhere with an established Wi-Fi connection—will receive the data refreshes
