PULSE Update - June 2024

ENHANCEMENT Data entry improvement: DRY events can no longer be added to heifers. PULSE now limits the events you can add for heifers and keeps you from accidentally adding DRY events to the wrong animals. This extra sanity check supports more accurate event data entry for you and your team!

ENHANCEMENT Integration Status now shows errors for all on-premise products! The Integration Status icon now reflects the connection details for all your integrated products. PULSE previously only indicated if your DC305Closed DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software connection was interrupted. See Integration Status to learn more!

Bug Fixes

  • Integration Status error message clarification. PULSE status messages are now clearer and provide more information on when your data was last sent from your on-premise products and when PULSE last processed the data. See Integration Status to learn more!
  • Vet List fix for edited events. If you added an event in a vet list and then edited the event, the event code was not being sent to DC305. This is no longer an issue.
  • Animals page filter fix. If you set filters on your Animals list, click into an animal's CowCard, and then return to the list, the filter labels are cleared as expected.
  • Technician users fix. All PULSE users associated with a technician account now display as expected.
  • Multiple animal errors. PULSE now displays more comprehensive error messages if multiple problems are encountered during event entry.
  • MyDC ONLY OvSynch Protocol Builder now limits repro codes to a single constraint. When defining a new OvSynch protocol, PULSE now supports only one RCClosed Reproductive code constraint. Rather than setting multiple RC constraints, you can select more than one RC value during setup. Having a single constraint makes the protocol setup more intuitive and supports best practices for defining RC requirements.

See Step 1: Define an OvSynch Protocol to learn more about setting protocol constraints.

  • MyDC ONLY SOLD event delete item reset fix. When you delete a SOLD event, PULSE now correctly sets the animal's repro code and archive date.
  • MyDC ONLY ABORT event delete fixes. Two issues were fixed related to deleting ABORT events:
    • For cows missing a Fresh Date and continuing the lactation, the system no longer deletes the whole lactation.
    • When an ABORT is entered on a heifer, you can now delete the event if needed.
  • MyDC ONLY MEASURE event fix. Item data now displays correctly for MEASURE events.
