PULSE Update - July 2024

NEW FEATURE Import sire, maternal pedigree, animal identification, and genomic data from a CSV! The new PULSE Update Animal Data feature offers the ability to import sire mating, maternal pedigree, animal identification, and genomic data using a CSV file from any provider. This additional flexibility extends the power of PULSE herd management capabilities for reporting and tracking purposes and helps you leverage critical animal data from multiple sources.

ENHANCEMENT Embryo data entry improvements and Link to Donor added! The Embryo Management feature includes multiple improvements:

If the donor for the embryo is in the herd, you have the option to link to the donor animal for quick and convenient access! After the embryo is imported, click the Donor link to view the animal's details in a side panel without having to leave the Embryo Management page.
When adding embryos in batch, the template file now shows an error if the grade is outside the expected 1-4 range.
PULSE now limits the number of fresh or frozen embryos to 2000 in a single load to avoid potential data entry errors. See Add Embryos to Inventory or Transferred Embryos to learn more about adding embryos!

ENHANCEMENT Update sire details from the Pedigree tab on the CowCard! Use the new Update Pedigree button to update an animal's maternal grandsire and great grandsire from the CowCard Pedigree tab. This enhancement makes it easy to keep your herd's genetic data accurate! See Update Pedigree to learn more.

ENHANCEMENT Multiple Reproduction Insights improvements! Reproduction Insights were enhanced to include the following:

All pages now include an Animal Breed filter
The Conception Rate page was updated to add a Semen Type parameter
The Missed Breedings page now includes a DIM Days in milk filter

MyDC ONLY ENHANCEMENT New item for OvSynch! MyDC dairies have a new item, ONOV, which can be used for animals enrolled in an OvSynch Protocol.

Bug Fixes

Command Line fix for metric units. PULSE Command Line now understands commands if your user account is set to metric units.
Reproduction Insights date fix. The Pregnancy Risk page now shows dates in the correct format.
Integration toggle fix. The Connection Active toggle stays turned on for connected integrations.
Pen capacity fix. The tip that provides pen capacity percentage details on the Pens List was fixed and is now easier to read.
