Loader View

• This feature is only available when you’re using this device for feeding. If you change your mind about using a device for feeding, log out of the app and select Yes or No when asked if the device will be used for feeding.
• Before you can begin using FeedComp to feed at your dairy, you must complete the required setup. See Before You Begin: Required Setup to learn more about the required setup order.
• Devices used for feeding must be connected to a scale. See Scales to learn more about connecting to your scale.
• Bluetooth must be enabled on both loading and feeding devices.

Before you can use Loader View, add loader equipment to the Equipment list in FeedComp if you have not already done so:

1. Go to the Adjustments screen.
2. Tap Create Equipment at the bottom of the screen.
3. Enter the loader name.
4. Select Loader as the equipment type.
5. Tap Save at the bottom of the screen.

After you finish adding loader equipment to FeedComp, connect the loader equipment to FeedComp.

After you add loader equipment to the Equipment list, connect the loader equipment to FeedComp:

1. Go to Account Settings > Settings.
2. Select the loader equipment.
3. Save your selection and exit Settings.

After you finish connecting loader equipment, you can now connect the loading device to the feeding device and start using Loader View.

After you complete the requirements above, follow the steps below to enable Loader View, so you can connect your loading device to your feeding device:

1. Tap Feed at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap Loader View.
3. Tap Connect Now at the bottom of the screen.
4. Select the system you're connecting to: iOS or Android.
5. Select the feeding device, and then tap Connect at the bottom of the screen.
6. After your device is successfully connected to the feeding device, tap Continue at the bottom of the screen.

After establishing the connection, you can view and manage loading processes from your loading device.

After you enable Loader View, monitor and manage loading from your loading device:

1. Load the first ingredient for the mix. As you load ingredients, the scale weighs the load and FeedComp calculates the percentage complete. You can Skip or Ignore ingredients if needed. Click here to learn more about skip and ignore features.

   If the weight of an ingredient detected by the scale drops below the threshold set for the mixer A piece of farm equipment that mixes all the loaded ingredients for a feed recipe. Mobile mixers are most common, but stationary mixers also exist. while mixing a recipe A combination of ingredients used to make feed for animals, FeedComp displays an alert that requires attention before adding the next ingredient to the mixer. To set the threshold, see Create New Equipment and Edit Equipment. Tap Acknowledge to confirm and record the ingredient's actual amount and continue mixing. Acknowledged ingredients are identified with an ACK icon on the Feeding History Report.

2. If a timer was set for the ingredient, wait for the timer to complete. Or, tap Advance this Ingredient to move to the next step in the recipe.
3. If a time delay was set between ingredients, FeedComp displays a countdown in the middle of the screen for the allotted time. You can tap Skip to immediately move to the next ingredient in the recipe.

Once all of the ingredients are added and the progress bar reaches 100%, FeedComp automatically disconnects your device from the feeding device and returns you to the Home screen. The feeding technician can now drop the mix at the necessary locations.

Once the loading process is started for a feeding, you can tap Abort at the top middle of the screen to abort the feeding. Feedings started but not completed are identified with an Aborted icon on the Feeding History report.
